Vertex Standard VX-1700 Radio Series Transceiver

HF Transceiver Designed for Land Mobile and Government

The Vertex Standard VX-1700 is a low-cost, integrated HF communications transceiver designed for the Land Mobile market.

The VX-1700 includes 200 memory channels (arranged in five banks) with Alpha-Numeric labeling of Memory channels. And the Selcall feature allows paging of a single transceiver or groups of transceivers by a dispatch center.

Available options include the VL-1000/VP-1000 1 kW Linear Amplifier/Power Supply, FP-1030A AC Power Supply, FC-30 Automatic External Antenna Tuner (for 50 Ohm unbalanced antenna feedlines), FC-40 Automatic External Antenna Tuner (for an end-fed random-length wire or long whip antenna), YA-30 Broadband Dipole Antenna, YA-007FG Mobile Antenna, MD-200A8X Desktop Microphone, MLS-100 External Speaker, and the ALE-1 Automatic Link Establishment Unit which automatically selects the channel with the best LQA (Link Quality Analysis) score from the programmed channels.

Vertex Standard VX-1700 Features:

Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) Option
The VX-1700 has an optional ALE board that adds the feature of Automatic Link Establishment. This is a system being used more everyday to establish reliable communications in the HF band.

The ALE-1 option board can also be installed by Vertex Standard so when you get your radio, it's ready to go, only programming for your particular frequencies is needed.

More programmability
To program large amounts of channels or for large fleets, the VX-1700 can be programmed easily with a PC and the CE77 programming software.

Channel Naming
Each channel can have a 6 digit alpha tag for easy recognition of the correct channel.

Built-in Sellcall Feature
This Vertex Standard Selcall is built in and ready to use. Selectively call one radio or a group of radios.

Channel Capacity
The VX-1700 can store 200 channels. There are 5 groups that can be used to store channels. You can have any number of channels per group (or have them all in one group!). Of course, if you use only 5 channels, only 5 will show on the display. Very versatile.

Keyboard Frequency Entry
For field use, the VX-1700 is capable of keyboard entry for channel memory.
