Engineered Communications is located in the South Hills area of Allegheny County at 1610 Potomac Ave., Dormont, Pa. Major highways from the north, south, east, and west provide easily access to our location.
From Downtown Pittsburgh
From downtown Pittsburgh, leave the downtown area via the Fort Pitt Bridge, which is Rt. 279 North also known as the "Parkway". Follow signs towards the Pittsburgh Intl. Airport.
Proceed through the Fort Pitt tunnels. We suggest staying in the right lane through the tunnel.
After exiting tunnel, stay to the right and watch for "Exit 5A Banksville Road".
Take "Exit 5A" which will curve around and under the "Parkway". Be careful as there will be a ramp that continues off to the left just under the Parkway overpass that will take you back into the city. Do not take this ramp, but continue straight onto Banksville Road.
Proceed up Banksville Road, three traffic signals to intersection with Potomac Ave.
Get into left turning lane. Redwood Motor Inn will be on your right.
Make a left turn on to Potomac Ave., up a very steep hill towards the top where it levels off.
We are the first commercial building on the left side of the street; a yellow brick building with a glass front.
If you cross over the LRT (light rail transit) tracks you have gone too far.
From the Pittsburgh International Airport
Exit airport onto Rt. 60 towards Pittsburgh.
Rt. 60 will become Rt. 279
Take "Exit 4A Greentree"
At top off ramp, turn right onto Greentree Road which is Rt. 121 South.
Proceed on Greentree Road for three traffic signals (not counting the light at the top of the ramp), and make a left onto Potomac Ave.
Proceed down Potomac Ave. to traffic signal at intersection of Banksville Road (stay in right lane). BP gas station will be on your right.
Cross over Banksville Road and up a very steep hill to the top where it levels off.

If you cross over the LRT (light rail transit) tracks you have gone too far.
From the North
From the North, you may take any route into downtown Pittsburgh and follow the directions from there.
Coming from the North (Erie) on Rt.79 take "Exit 59A" onto Rt.279 North towards Pittsburgh.
Take "Exit 4A Greentree"
At top off ramp, turn right onto Greentree Road which is 121 South.
Proceed on Greentree Road for three traffic signals (not counting the light at the top of the ramp), and make a left onto Potomac Ave.
Proceed down Potomac Ave. to traffic signal at intersection of Banksville Road (stay in right lane). BP gas station will be on your right.

From the South (via Rt. 51 or I-79)
Coming from the South (Washington Pa.), two routes are possible.
Follow Rt.19 North toward Mt. Lebanon and Pittsburgh.
You will drive past the South Hills Village shopping mall and continue into Mt. Lebanon.
Stay straight and follow "Truck Rt. 19" through Mt. Lebanon into Dormont Pa.
Rt. 19 is now called West Liberty Ave.
In what appears to be the center of the Dormont business district, make a left onto Potomac Ave. It will be 3.9 miles from the South Hills Village sign to the left turn onto Potomac Ave.
Proceed up Potomac Ave., crossing over the LRT tracks. We are the yellow brick commercial building with a glass front, on the right side of the street.
Alternate route would be to take I-79 North towards Erie/ Pittsburgh.
Take "Exit 59A" onto Rt. 279 North toward Pittsburgh.
Take "Exit 4A Greentree"
